Contracts Specialist – Construction Claims & Dispute Management

About the role

Support the management of contractual risks and disputes for the Prime Contract, providing advice on obligations, analysing cost and timeline impacts, preparing claims and negotiating with contractors to ensure compliance and constructive resolutions.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Prime Contract Management team to integrate and streamline claims management with change management.
• Conduct detailed contractual and commercial analysis of issues affecting cost and schedule.
• Identify, prepare and develop owner‑initiated claims and counter‑claims, and support negotiations with contractors.
• Prepare presentations and reports on claims and dispute matters for senior management and legal counsel.
• Assist in resolving general commercial and contractual issues, aiming for non‑adversarial outcomes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, engineering, construction management or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of construction industry experience, including 2 years handling construction claims.
• Experience with arbitration or other alternative dispute resolution processes.
• Exposure to international power or nuclear projects.
