Control Field Service Engineer

About the role

Join Baker Hughes as a Control Field Service Engineer and provide on‑site technical direction for control system installations, start‑up, commissioning and maintenance across oilfield, power generation and industrial facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead on‑site installation, loop checks, system tests and start‑up of control systems on customer‑owned sites.
• Supervise positioning and wiring of control panels (UCP, auxiliary panels, DCP, battery systems, GCPP, MCC, etc.) including electrical, pneumatic and primary hook‑ups.
• Verify control sequencing for auxiliary equipment such as lube oil, hydraulic oil, oil coolers, starters, ventilation, fire & gas detection, compressors and fuel valves.
• Drive installation, maintenance and commissioning activities to meet schedule targets while strictly following quality and HSE rules.
• Conduct daily HSE toolbox talks, report critical tasks and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
• Apply problem‑solving skills, engineering instructions, drawings and process documents during turbomachinery commissioning and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance checks on control systems and related equipment.

Required profile

• Technical background with proven capability to troubleshoot control systems.
• Experience in field service engineering for oilfield, power generation or industrial environments.
• Strong understanding of HSE practices and ability to lead safety briefings.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and process instructions.
