Control Field Service Engineer

About the role

The Control Field Service Engineer will represent Baker Hughes on‑site, providing technical direction for control system installation, commissioning, troubleshooting and maintenance across oilfield, power generation and industrial facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on‑site technical direction for control systems installation, loop checks, system tests, start‑up and commissioning.
• Supervise positioning and wiring of various control panels (UCP, DCP, MCC, GCPP, etc.) and ensure proper electrical, pneumatic and primary hook‑ups.
• Verify control sequencing of auxiliary systems such as lube oil, hydraulic, fire & gas detection, anti‑surge and ventilation.
• Lead installation, maintenance and commissioning activities while adhering to quality, HSE and schedule targets.
• Prepare job‑planning documents, daily/weekly reports and technical reports for customer records.

Required profile

• Engineering degree with minimum 7 years of field experience in Oil & Gas or Energy sector.
• Hands‑on expertise with HDGT (Frame 5/2, 6B) and BH/NP centrifugal compressors (BCL, 2 BCL, MCL).
• Ability to work on‑shore, off‑shore and in remote locations; travel ≥70%.
• Fluent English (spoken and written) for reporting and customer interaction.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and ability to work independently.
