Corporate/Commercial Lawyer

About the role

Motei & Associates is looking for a Corporate/Commercial Lawyer to offer comprehensive legal services covering the full spectrum of corporate transactions to clients, including multinational corporations, commercial companies, ambitious domestic entrepreneurs and start-ups.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on domestic and cross-border merger and acquisition transactions, including due diligence and exchange offers, acquisitions, sales or reorganisation of subsidiaries, divisions and asset deals, joint ventures, strategic alliances, recapitalisations and liquidations.
• Provide ongoing advice to clients' in-house legal teams on day-to-day operational matters, including companies, employment and immigration laws and regulations, compliance and directors' and managers' liability.
• Take part in corporate meetings, including preparing and attending company general assembly meetings, preparing required legal documents and maintaining company registries.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree from a reputable law school, ideally completed with an LL.M.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in a reputable law firm or as in-house counsel in the UAE.
• Perfect command of spoken and written English; other languages are an advantage.
• Proactive, motivated and dynamic, able to work independently and in a team, and eager to build strong client relationships in an international context.
