Cost Analyst – Manufacturing & Procurement

About the role

The Cost Analyst will lead day‑to‑day data analysis for cost and manufacturing across EKFC businesses, partnering with Production, Commercial and Supply Chain teams. The role focuses on driving efficiencies, monitoring cost drivers and supporting strategic decisions to maximise profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily cost and manufacturing data analysis, collaborating with Production, Commercial and Supply Chain to improve efficiency.
• Develop and maintain cost standards, wastage analysis, and tracking systems to highlight trends for stakeholders.
• Support the Costing Manager with proactive variance reporting, issue communication and opportunity identification.
• Collect, analyse and evaluate historical data to form assumptions, methodologies and recommendations.
• Maintain the costing database in the ERP system and train users on ERP cost‑setting procedures.
• Analyse product, menu, raw‑material and production changes to assess cost impact.
• Conduct cost‑benchmarking to guide insourcing vs. outsourcing decisions.
• Set up, monitor and reconcile landed‑cost rulings for food and packaging purchases.
• Collaborate on costing methodology, standards and KPI reporting with the Costing Manager.
• Perform ad‑hoc analytical tasks as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of finance experience, preferably in production or manufacturing accounting.
• At least 2 years in a similar cost‑analysis role.
• Proven experience in analytical reporting and data‑driven decision making.
• Experience with process improvement initiatives.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel functionality.
• Proficiency with JDE ERP (or similar ERP systems).
• Strong MS Office skills.
