Counsellor – Trainee Support & Wellbeing

About the role

The Counsellor will support trainees’ emotional, academic and social well‑being across both on‑campus and on‑the‑job training environments. The role combines individual and group counseling, wellbeing program delivery and close collaboration with stakeholders to prevent drop‑outs and promote a healthy learning experience.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personalized counseling and support plans for trainees, both on‑campus and during on‑the‑job training.
• Conduct regular check‑ins, site visits and follow‑up sessions to monitor emotional, academic and social well‑being.
• Deliver wellbeing programs, mental‑health awareness campaigns and create safe spaces for open dialogue.
• Track trainee performance and disciplinary data, collaborate on early interventions and manage documentation.
• Facilitate life‑skills and orientation sessions, promoting understanding of policies and values.
• Engage with parents, guardians and other stakeholders to develop joint action plans for trainee success.
• Coordinate with internal departments to resolve challenges, maintain confidential records and support case management.
• Mentor Trainee Council members, represent counseling in academy events and generate reports to improve services.
