Country Manager Cameroon Africa Region

About the role

The Country Manager will lead AD Ports Group's operations in Cameroon, driving growth, ensuring operational excellence, and delivering superior customer service. This senior position reports to the regional leadership team and is responsible for aligning local activities with the company's strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue growth and revenue opportunities across all business verticals.
• Analyse local market dynamics, competition, customer preferences and trends to inform decisions.
• Lead daily operations of AD Ports Group clusters in Cameroon, ensuring efficiency and high‑quality service.
• Manage priority business development opportunities defined by the Commercial Function.
• Guarantee exceptional customer service by addressing needs and coordinating operational solutions.
• Drive timely, reliable and safe service delivery.
• Ensure compliance with Group financial procedures, policies, safety, security, legal and regulatory requirements.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, government agencies and local partners.
• Collaborate with Country Cluster Managers to enhance cross‑functional teamwork.
• Participate in recruitment and organisational restructuring, and provide coaching and mentoring to team members.
• Align local strategies with overall business goals and develop a roadmap for competitive advantage.
• Plan, execute and evaluate business and operational strategies to maximise ADPG’s value in Cameroon.
• Drive cost efficiency and manage operational data to identify improvement areas.

Required profile

• Proven experience in leading country‑level operations and business development.
• Strong understanding of local market conditions and stakeholder management.
• Ability to ensure compliance with financial, safety and regulatory standards.
• Experience in people management, recruitment and team development.
• Strategic thinking with a focus on aligning local actions with corporate objectives.
