Course Coordinator and CYP/BTEC Tutor

About the role

The Course Coordinator provides administrative, organisational and operational support, together with teaching duties, for the Children & Young Performers (CYP) and BTEC Level 2 and 3 Performing Arts programmes at the University of the Arts Sharjah.

Key responsibilities

• Assist day‑to‑day administration of CYP and BTEC programmes, including admissions, registration, timetabling and record‑keeping.
• Support the delivery of productions, showcases, examinations, competitions and community events, handling logistics and rehearsal schedules.
• Teach dance, lead RAD and ISTD choreography work, and deliver exam preparation.
• Provide front‑of‑house reception, student welfare and safeguarding support, and maintain accurate digital records.
• Contribute to recruitment activities such as open days, auditions and workshops.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Dance, Performing Arts, Musical Theatre, Education or a related field.
• Strong practical dance and performing‑arts background with experience working with children and young people.
• Excellent written and spoken English and strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and work collaboratively within a performing‑arts team.
