Cover Teacher - Islamic A (Secondary & Primary)

About the role

The Arbor School in Dubai is looking for a highly motivated Islamic A teacher to cover the Secondary and Primary curriculum until the end of the academic year (January to March 2027), with the possibility of extending to a full-time two-year contract. The school's vision is rooted in ecology and sustainability, and the teacher will help challenge students to reach their potential across academic disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Teach the Secondary and Primary curriculum with excellent pedagogical knowledge and skills.
• Work with a range of students, from those who need to be stretched to beginners.
• Contribute to a holistic approach to teaching and learning that covers sustainability, well-being and environmental and social justice.

Required profile

• Native Arabic speaker.
• Bachelor's degree in Islamic Studies.
• KHDA approval to teach Islamic Studies A and a MoE teaching license.
• At least 2 years' experience teaching Islamic, preferably in British schools.
• Track record of outstanding teaching and ability to create a caring, nurturing classroom.
• Experience of inquiry- or ecological-based learning is a plus.

Required skills

• Strong communication skills in English.
• Pedagogical knowledge of the Secondary and Primary curriculum.
