Cover Teacher – Primary (Immediate Start)

About the role

Aldar Education is seeking adaptable and passionate Cover Teachers for primary classes across its schools in the UAE for the 2026/2027 academic year. The role involves delivering high‑quality lessons during periods of staff absence, ensuring continuity of learning and maintaining the school’s standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide classroom cover for teachers on maternity leave, long‑term sick leave, or other short‑term absences.
• Deliver engaging lessons that follow existing schemes of work and curriculum requirements.
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of all learners, including Students of Determination, EAL students, and gifted learners.
• Maintain classroom behaviour management policies and uphold safeguarding, health and safety, and child protection procedures.
• Record attendance, achievement and progress data accurately and participate in staff meetings and professional development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant subject with a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification meeting ADEK requirements.
• Minimum of 3 years’ teaching experience, preferably with the UK National Curriculum and in an international school setting.
• Strong classroom management, organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to quickly build positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents.
• Commitment to safeguarding and the welfare of children.
