About the role

The role focuses on maintaining EOT and jib cranes within a steel plant to minimise downtime, improve plant availability and manage spare consumption responsibly.

Key responsibilities

Execute scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance on EOT and jib cranes to minimise material‑handling downtime.
Troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
Inspect equipment to ensure compliance with engineering and safety standards.
Support supervisors and coordinate with other departments to maintain uninterrupted production.

Required profile

ITI qualification in Mechanical Fitter trade.
3‑5 years of mechanical maintenance experience in a steel plant.
Knowledge of rigging and slinging.
Fluent in spoken and written English.

Required skills

Predictive and preventive maintenance of EOT and jib cranes.
Troubleshooting of crane mechanical systems.
Interpretation of engineering drawings and hydraulic circuits.
Proficiency with hand tools, measuring instruments and portable equipment.
