Customer Service Assistant

About the role

The role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service in a retail environment, assisting shoppers, providing product information, handling transactions, and maintaining a clean, organized store to ensure high customer satisfaction and support sales performance.

Key responsibilities

• Create a welcoming atmosphere for customers and assist with product inquiries.
• Promote products and upsell when appropriate to help meet store sales targets.
• Replenish shelves, organize displays and ensure products are correctly priced and labelled.
• Maintain a tidy, safe and welcoming environment by regularly cleaning and organizing the store.
• Assist in stock counts, inventory and help with receiving and unpacking new stock.
• Attend training sessions to expand product knowledge and support store growth.
• Collaborate with teammates to ensure smooth store operations and success.

Required profile

• Experience in cash handling and using a POS system.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of retail or customer service experience.
• Ability to handle customer complaints and work under pressure.
• Merchandising and visual display skills (a plus).
• Physically fit and capable of lifting and moving heavy boxes.
