Customs Clearance Officer

About the role

CSP Abu Dhabi CFS is seeking an experienced Customs Clearance Officer to manage import and export customs processes and ensure smooth cargo movement across land, air, and sea channels.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate import and export customs clearance activities for timely cargo movement.
• Prepare, verify, and submit customs documentation in line with UAE Customs regulations.
• Handle Project Cargo, RORO, General Cargo, and Break Bulk export operations.
• Process customs clearance for cross‑border shipments by land, air, and sea.
• Review shipping documents such as commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, HS Code approvals, and certificates of origin.
• Calculate customs duties, taxes and other applicable charges.
• Monitor shipment status and resolve clearance issues or delays promptly.
• Maintain accurate shipment records and daily operational databases.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure efficient operational processes.

Required profile

• Experience in customs clearance or freight forwarding; UAE experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of UAE Customs regulations and Free Zone procedures.
• Excellent communication, documentation and coordination skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced logistics environment.
• Arabic language proficiency considered an advantage.
