Data Architect

About the role

SentraAI is looking for a Data Architect to design and own an enterprise‑wide data platform that powers analytics and AI at scale. The role focuses on cloud data architecture, ETL patterns and data contracts, with success measured by fast data delivery and high pipeline reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain the enterprise data platform on Databricks and Delta Lake.
• Define ETL patterns and orchestrate batch pipelines using Airflow and dbt.
• Ingest data from S3 and streaming sources (Kafka or Kinesis) with exactly‑once or at‑least‑once semantics.
• Set capacity, cost controls and security for AWS or Azure cloud accounts.
• Establish data contracts, lineage and cataloguing with Collibra or similar tools.
• Implement automated data quality checks using Great Expectations and provide monitoring dashboards.
• Manage schema evolution and table design for Delta Lake consumption.

Required profile

• Proven experience architecting and operating data platforms on AWS or Azure.
• Strong background building reliable ELT pipelines at scale with dbt, Airflow, Python and SQL.
• Hands‑on expertise with streaming ingestion using Kafka and cloud storage (S3).
• Ability to instrument observability for pipelines using Prometheus or Grafana.
