Data Specialist

About the role

Hitech, an integrated engineering consulting and business process solutions organization with offices in the USA, UK and delivery centres in India, is looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Data Specialist. The role manages, processes and analyzes data to support business operations and decision-making, working with large datasets accurately and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, organize and maintain structured and unstructured data from various sources
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity and consistency across systems
• Clean, validate and transform data
• Generate reports, dashboards and insights for internal stakeholders
• Analyze data trends to support business decisions
• Manage databases and update records regularly
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements
• Identify and resolve data discrepancies or issues
• Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive data

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics or a related field
• Experience with data management tools or CRM systems
• Knowledge of data governance and data quality standards
• Good written English for client and internal collaboration

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data analysis)
• Basic SQL for data querying
• Data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
• Basic programming (Python is a plus)
• Analytical, problem-solving and attention to detail
