Deals Strategy & Operations Manager – Transportation & Logistics

About the role

PwC's Deals Strategy & Operations (DSO) team advises corporates, private equity houses, family offices, banks, funds, governments and M&A clients on investment and divestment decisions. As Deals Strategy & Operations Manager for the Transportation & Logistics sector, you will work with a team of problem solvers, from strategy to execution, and lead a team of 3-4 consultants.

Key responsibilities

• Solve client problems by structuring analysis, applying analytical frameworks and developing strategy
• Provide strategic and operational advice, with a focus on pre-deal work
• Support private and public sector clients in localization through value chain analysis, investment opportunity identification and feasibility studies
• Develop market assessments, commercial due diligence, business plans and corporate strategies for Industrials clients
• Oversee project delivery, including several projects at once, and lead a team of 3-4 consultants
• Manage client relationships, project budgets, cost reporting and payment collection

Required profile

• Experience in the M&A space, preferably from a professional services background
• Exposure to Transportation & Logistics; Industrial and Manufacturing experience is a plus
• Experience doing research on potential acquisitions, writing business plans and conducting market research for large organizations
• Understanding of feasibility studies
• Proven experience leading teams, coaching juniors and delivering projects to completion
• Ability to build credibility internally with senior management and externally with clients
• Flexibility to travel 40%-60% of the time, including occasional overnight stays
