Demand Planner Specialist – EMEA

About the role

The Demand Planner Specialist will own the end‑to‑end demand planning process for Vertiv’s Switchgear business in the EMEA region. You will translate market signals, sales inputs and advanced analytics into a reliable demand plan that drives supply‑chain decisions and supports commercial objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and analyse complex historical sales data, identifying trends, promotions, macro‑economic drivers and competitor activity.
• Design, develop and continuously refine statistical forecast models, incorporating machine‑learning algorithms, predictive analytics and hierarchical forecasting techniques.
• Integrate qualitative insights from sales, marketing and product management into consensus‑driven forecasts.
• Conduct variance analysis, root‑cause investigations and implement corrective actions to improve forecast accuracy.
• Lead cross‑functional demand review meetings, challenge forecasts with data‑driven insights and secure alignment across sales, finance and operations.
• Provide detailed input to supply planning, translating demand into production schedules, inventory strategies and capacity plans.
• Develop and automate demand planning dashboards and KPI reports, presenting insights to senior leadership.
• Act as super‑user for demand planning tools (e.g., Kinaxis, IBP, Anaplan) and enforce data‑governance best practices.

Required skills

• Advanced statistical forecasting and machine‑learning techniques.
• Proficiency with demand planning software such as Kinaxis, SAP IBP or Anaplan.
• Strong data‑analysis skills, including experience with ERP/MRP systems.
• Ability to build and maintain complex forecast models and scenario analyses.
