About the role

Join the culinary team at Aloft Palm Jumeirah, Dubai, as a Demi Chef de Partie specializing in Arabic cuisine. You will support the kitchen by preparing ingredients, cooking dishes to exacting standards, and ensuring a seamless service flow.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and portion ingredients, chop, store, and thaw foods according to recipes.
• Cook menu items, monitor quality, and adjust seasoning using taste, smell, or visual cues.
• Plate dishes with proper garnish and serve portions on appropriate receptacles.
• Maintain a clean, sanitized work area, tools, and equipment.
• Check appliance and food temperatures, reporting any deviations.
• Communicate needs during busy periods and follow safety, security, and company policies.
• Adhere to uniform standards and present a professional appearance.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 12 months of related culinary experience, preferably in Arabic cuisine.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 10 lb and perform repetitive kitchen tasks.
