Demi Chef de Partie – Asian Cuisine

About the role

The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi, Grand Canal is seeking a motivated Demi Chef de Partie to join its Asian Cuisine kitchen. You will work in a fast‑paced, high‑standards environment, preparing both hot and cold dishes while supporting the culinary team during busy service periods.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare special meals and substitute items according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Regulate oven, broiler, grill and roaster temperatures and monitor food quality and quantity.
• Thaw frozen items, portion, arrange and garnish dishes, and maintain accurate food logs.
• Communicate with the Chef about excess inventory for daily specials and inform service staff of menu specials or out‑of‑stock items.
• Assist in hiring, training, scheduling and evaluating team members as needed.
• Follow all safety, security and company policies, reporting any hazards or incidents.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree in culinary arts or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant kitchen experience, preferably in Asian cuisine.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk or sit for extended periods and lift objects up to 25 lb.

Required skills

• Food preparation and cooking techniques for hot and cold dishes.
• Knowledge of temperature control for ovens, grills and roasters.
• Accurate portioning, plating and garnish execution.
• Maintaining food safety and hygiene standards.
