About the role
The Demi Chef de Partie will support the kitchen team in preparing high‑quality meals, ensuring consistency with recipes and presentation standards. This full‑time, onsite position is based at the JW Marriott property in Dubai.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, including cold dishes.
- Regulate oven, broiler, grill and roaster temperatures and manage food thawing processes.
- Maintain food logs, monitor portioning, garnish, and overall food quality.
- Communicate menu specials, out‑of‑stock items, and excess food usage to service staff and chefs.
- Assist with hiring, training, scheduling and performance coaching of kitchen staff.
Required profile
- Technical or vocational culinary education.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant kitchen experience.
- No supervisory experience required.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 lb and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
Required skills
- Food preparation and cooking techniques.
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and temperature control.
