Demi Chef De Partie

About the role

This position ensures courteous, professional and flexible service while preparing and cooking food, maintaining cost control, and leading Commis Chefs. You will support Chef de Parties in daily kitchen operations and help maximise guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Display a friendly, helpful attitude and communicate effectively with guests and colleagues.
• Represent Miral positively to maintain a professional brand image.
• Help achieve department and company objectives, action plans and KPIs.
• Enforce UAE laws, health, safety and environmental policies and report any safety concerns.
• Adhere to emergency procedures, ensure guest safety and participate in evacuations.
• Prepare, portion and garnish foods according to prescribed methods and portion sizes.
• Assume responsibility for the section and replace the Chef de Partie during his absence.
• Receive and examine food supplies required for the menu.
• Perform tasks assigned by the Chef de Partie and report product over‑consumption to monitor waste.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area at all times.

Required profile

• Higher Secondary education or equivalent.
• 1‑2 years experience in a similar role or 2 years as a Commis I in a five‑star hotel.
• Ability to learn quickly, work under pressure and stand for long periods.
• Clear understanding of written and spoken English.
• Good attention to detail, flexibility and strong teamwork skills.
• Desirable: 3‑4 years experience, professional kitchen apprenticeship or chef training course.
