About the role

The Demi Chef de Partie supports the kitchen team by preparing ingredients, cooking food to recipe standards, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients including portioning, chopping, washing, peeling, weighing, measuring and mixing.
  • Cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and test for doneness.
  • Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers, and monitor food quality.
  • Set up and break down work stations, serve food in proper portions, and maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas and equipment.
  • Check appliance and food temperatures, follow safety policies, and report any hazards or incidents.

Required profile

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of related food preparation or culinary experience.
  • No supervisory experience required.

Required skills

  • Operating kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers.
  • Food preparation techniques including chopping, portioning, measuring and mixing.
  • Maintaining hygiene standards and cleaning kitchen tools and surfaces.
