Demi Chef de Partie

About the role

Fairmont Dubai, a luxury hotel in the business heart of the city, is looking for a Demi Chef de Partie to join its Culinary team. The role reports to the Executive Sous Chef and focuses on safe, efficient kitchen operations and high-quality food preparation for a la carte and buffet menus. Key responsibilities

• Provide professional, friendly and proactive guest service while supporting colleagues.
• Prepare all food items consistently according to hotel recipes and standards.
• Share ideas and suggestions in daily shift briefings and keep colleagues informed of standards and expectations.
• Liaise daily with outlet chefs on guest feedback.
• Check mise en place daily and rotate products in chillers to minimise waste.
• Know all menu items, daily features and promotions.
• Keep work areas, utensils and equipment clean and maintain kitchen policies, procedures and safety and sanitation standards.

Required profile

• Previous culinary experience required.
• Journeyman's papers or an international equivalent required; a culinary diploma is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, reliability and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work as part of a team and focus on guest needs.
• Physical demands include frequent standing, walking, occasional lifting up to 20 lbs, kneeling and climbing ladders or stairs.

Required skills

• Computer literacy with Microsoft Windows applications is an asset.
