Depot Operator – Fuel Quality & Fuelling

About the role

The Depot Operator is responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of fuel stored and transferred at the depot and apron. The role combines routine quality‑control checks with fuelling and defuelling operations, supporting safe aircraft operations.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor storage tank dips and perform physical dip measurements, comparing results with the tank gauging system.
• Carry out floating suction, conductivity and routine serviceability checks on tanks.
• Take and manage samples from filters, tanks, pipelines and related equipment.
• Receive fuel deliveries, unload into storage tanks, load refuellers and transfer fuel to satellite tanks as required.
• Clean and maintain sampling equipment, buckets, bottles and close‑sampling systems.
• Follow HSE procedures, wear company‑issued safety gear and act as a fuelling operator when needed.
• Prepare KPI checklists, progress reports and maintain housekeeping standards.
• Participate in emergency response and liaise with internal depot staff and external service providers.

Required profile

• Technical Diploma in a relevant field or Secondary School Certificate.
• Minimum 3 years experience as a fuelling operator.
• Knowledge of fire safety and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) practices.
• Proficiency in English and Arabic.
• Valid UAE driving licence.
