Depot Operator – Petroleum Products

About the role

The Depot Operator is responsible for safely controlling and executing all operations at the depot, including loading, receiving, storing, and transferring petroleum products. The role ensures compliance with HSE standards and maintains accurate records of all activities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform fuelling operations, conduct quality checks on tanks and pumps, and record all activities.
• Monitor tank levels, conduct physical dips, specific gravity, temperature measurements, and compare results with gauging systems.
• Receive products from vessels or road tankers, unload into storage tanks, and manage vessel loading operations.
• Take samples from filters, tanks, pipelines, and maintain sampling equipment.
• Report hazards, monitor gauges, and maintain documentation in required systems.
• Carry out fire‑fighting rounds, inspect and test fire‑fighting equipment, and respond to alarms according to ADNOC procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum secondary or high school certificate.
• At least 3 years of experience as a depot operator handling petroleum products.
• Knowledge of HSE policies, ADNOC Code of Practices, and emergency procedures.

Required skills

• Operation of pump and pipe systems.
• Sampling techniques for fuel and filters.
• Fire‑fighting equipment inspection and usage.
