Deputy Head of Discipline – Civil & Structural

About the role

Rejlers International Engineering Solutions seeks a Deputy Head of Discipline for Civil & Structural to support project execution and bid preparation in Abu Dhabi. Reporting to the Head of Discipline, you will lead the civil and structural engineering team, ensuring high‑quality deliverables and fostering a collaborative culture.

Key responsibilities

• Deputize for the Head of Discipline, managing all aspects of the civil and structural discipline.
• Lead and develop the team to deliver projects to the highest professional standards.
• Support project execution, resource allocation, health & safety, and budget management.
• Act as Lead Engineer on projects, solving technical issues with the project engineering manager.
• Drive executional improvement, quality assurance, and operational direction.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with at least 18 years of Oil & Gas experience.
• Minimum 5 years in a management role; postgraduate degree is a plus.
• Extensive on‑shore experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or Chemical sectors; offshore experience is a bonus.
• Strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
• UAE residency meeting visa requirements.

Required skills

• Proficiency with civil and structural software: STAAD Pro, Ram Connections, Mat3D, Foundation 3D, SACS, Midas, SAP, Ansys.
• Advanced Excel skills (programming knowledge is a bonus).
• 2D drafting tools: AutoCAD, MicroStation.
• Familiarity with 3D modelling software.
• Knowledge of ADNOC specifications and international codes (BS, Eurocodes, ACI, ASCE, AISC, API).
