Design Engineer – Automotive Sheet Metal (Dubai)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Design Engineer to join our automotive manufacturing team in Dubai. You will focus on sheet‑metal components, turning customer requirements into detailed 3D models and production‑ready drawings.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop automotive parts, components and sheet‑metal assemblies using CATIA and SolidWorks.
• Create 3D models, 2D detailed drawings and Bills of Materials (BOM) in line with company standards.
• Apply sheet‑metal design, fabrication and manufacturing knowledge to ensure DFM and DFA.
• Perform basic design calculations and interpret complex drawings and tolerances.
• Coordinate with production and quality teams for prototype development, approval and cost‑reduction modifications.
• Maintain design documentation, drawing records and support NPD and design changes.

Required profile

• Diploma, B.E. or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 1‑2 years of experience as a Design Engineer in automotive or sheet‑metal design.
• Proficiency in CATIA and SolidWorks (both mandatory).
• Strong knowledge of GD&T, engineering materials and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read and interpret complex drawings and tolerances.
• Currently residing in Dubai or able to join immediately.
