Design Engineer – Automotive Sheet Metal (Dubai)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Design Engineer to join our automotive manufacturing team in Dubai. You will be responsible for creating sheet‑metal components and assemblies for vehicle projects, ensuring designs meet customer specifications and manufacturing standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop automotive parts, components and sheet‑metal assemblies using CATIA and SolidWorks.
• Produce 3D models, 2D detailed drawings and Bills of Materials in accordance with company standards.
• Apply sheet‑metal design, fabrication and manufacturing knowledge to guarantee DFM and DFA.
• Perform basic design calculations and modify designs for cost reduction and quality improvement.
• Coordinate with production and quality teams for prototype development, testing and approval.
• Maintain up‑to‑date design documentation, drawings and records.

Required profile

• Diploma, B.E. or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 1‑2 years of experience as a Design Engineer in automotive sheet‑metal design.
• Current residence in Dubai or immediate availability to relocate.

Required skills

• Proficiency in CATIA.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks.
• Knowledge of GD&T and engineering materials.
• Experience with sheet‑metal and automotive design principles.
