Design Technology Teacher – Electronics Specialist (Jan 2027 start)

About the role

Fortes Education is seeking an enthusiastic Design Technology Teacher with specialist expertise in electronics to join Sunmarke School in Dubai. The role starts in January 2027 and involves delivering hands‑on, project‑based learning for Key Stages 3 & 4.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in electronics, circuit design, microcontrollers, embedded systems and product development.
• Utilise modern workshop equipment and digital tools such as CAD/CAM, laser cutters, 3D printers, CNC machines and prototyping platforms.
• Assess student progress, use data to inform planning and raise attainment.
• Lead extracurricular STEM activities, competitions, robotics clubs and design challenges.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher with a B.Ed. or Bachelor’s degree plus PGCE in Design & Technology, Engineering, Electronics or related field, and QTS or equivalent.
• Proven record of outstanding teaching, especially in Electronics for I/GCSE and A‑Level.
• Dynamic, reflective and growth‑mindset oriented, able to motivate students of all abilities.

Required skills

• Electronics systems, circuit design, microcontrollers, embedded systems, programming.
• Proficiency with CAD/CAM, laser cutting, 3D printing, CNC equipment and electronics prototyping platforms.
