DevOps Engineer – Azure Platform

About the role

The DevOps Engineer will own the end‑to‑end deployment and reliability of the AWA platform within the bank’s Azure environment in the UAE. You will ensure that every component—from AKS namespaces and KEDA autoscalers to ADLS Gen2 policies and Azure Firewall allow‑lists—is provisioned reproducibly through code and operates continuously at high availability.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain infrastructure‑as‑code using Terraform or Bicep for all Azure resources.
• Build and manage multi‑stage CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions, including approvals and environment promotion.
• Configure and operate Kubernetes clusters (AKS) with namespaces, RBAC, network policies, Helm charts and Kustomize overlays.
• Implement autoscaling solutions with KEDA or equivalent and monitor performance via Azure Monitor, Log Analytics and KQL.
• Secure the platform using Azure Key Vault, managed identities, OPA Gatekeeper/Kyverno, Defender for Cloud and Sentinel.
• Manage data services such as ADLS Gen2, Kafka/Azure Event Hubs, and API Management, ensuring compliance with WORM storage and lifecycle policies.

Required profile

• 5+ years of DevOps or Platform Engineering experience, with at least 2 years focused on Azure IaC.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering or related field.
• Azure Administrator Associate (AZ‑104) or DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ‑400) certification strongly preferred; CKA advantageous.
