Dietitian – Post Acute Rehabilitation

About the role

The Dietitian will join Amana Healthcare’s Post‑Acute Rehabilitation (PAR) service in Abu Dhabi, providing evidence‑based nutritional care to patients recovering from acute illness, neurological conditions, stroke, orthopedic injuries, respiratory disorders and other complex rehabilitation needs.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for patients admitted to the rehabilitation service.
• Develop individualized nutrition care plans based on patient goals, medical condition and dietary requirements.
• Assess and manage patients at risk of malnutrition, dehydration, weight loss and feeding difficulties.
• Provide enteral nutrition assessment and management, including PEG and nasogastric feeding.
• Collaborate with speech‑language therapists to support dysphagia management.
• Monitor nutritional progress, modify interventions as needed, and document outcomes.
• Participate in quality‑improvement initiatives and patient‑education activities.

Required profile

• Registered Dietitian or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 2 years (24 months) clinical experience, preferably in rehabilitation or post‑acute care.
• Knowledge of complex medical conditions and ability to work within an interdisciplinary team.
• Strong communication skills for patient and family education.
