Digital Architect

About the role

Etihad Airways is seeking a senior Digital Architect to design and govern scalable, secure, and customer‑centric digital solutions across web, mobile, AI conversational, and airline commerce platforms. You will work closely with business, product, engineering, cybersecurity, operations, and delivery teams to ensure solutions align with enterprise strategy and architecture standards.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain architecture for digital channels, including web, mobile, APIs, middleware, identity, analytics, and customer engagement platforms.
• Produce clear solution specifications: user journeys, API contracts, data flows, acceptance criteria, non‑functional requirements, and architecture decisions.
• Promote specification‑based and AI‑assisted development practices to improve quality, traceability, and governance.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to translate business needs into technical designs.
• Ensure integration with Amadeus airline systems, booking, servicing, payment, and loyalty capabilities.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in solution or digital architecture within complex digital transformation environments.
• Strong understanding of digital channel architecture, AI conversational platforms, and enterprise integration.
• Excellent communication skills to explain technical decisions to business and technology teams.
• Relevant architecture certifications (e.g., TOGAF, SAFe Architect, Open Certified Architect) are preferred.
