Digital Sales Leader, South East Africa

About the role

The Southeast Africa Digital Sales team implements a new remote sales coverage model to serve mid-market clients through digital channels, using AI and automation, digital marketing and analytics to help clients achieve their business objectives. The DSR Manager leads a team of sales professionals covering clients across several countries and coordinates joint go-to-market efforts.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of sales professionals and regularly train them on digital selling, product knowledge and customer engagement
• Analyze performance data to identify patterns, trends and opportunities, and optimize team effectiveness
• Act as liaison between DSRs and other departments, and coordinate joint go-to-market efforts
• Use reporting tools such as MSD, PowerBI and Tableau to create actionable insights
• Introduce new processes, tools and initiatives, and review sales plays, deal strategies, account plans and pipeline management
• Coach DSRs, give real-time feedback and update stakeholders on performance and strategy
• Communicate effectively across a highly matrixed organization and lead teams through change

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years in B2B tech or financial services sales, including at least 3 years in a team lead capacity
• Experience across SEA markets
• Proven ability to handle complex sales cycles and large deal negotiations
• Strong technical understanding of complex solutions and business issues
• Preferred: deep understanding of the payments ecosystem, field sales background, experience selling complex technical products, and experience leading teams through change
