Diploma in Nuclear Technology – Entry-Level Training

About the role

The Diploma in Nuclear Technology (DNT) is an entry‑level, 24‑month vocational program that prepares UAE national high‑school graduates to become local operators or maintenance technicians at the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant. Trainees acquire scientific and engineering fundamentals, nuclear plant systems knowledge, and hands‑on workplace experience. The program is accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and delivered by Emirates Nuclear Energy Company (ENEC) at its headquarters in Abu Dhabi and at the Barakah Plant.

Key responsibilities

• Complete classroom instruction covering mathematics, physics, chemistry, electrical, mechanical and nuclear systems.
• Undertake on‑the‑job training at the Barakah Plant to meet the operational and maintenance requirements of a nuclear facility.

Required profile

• UAE national, aged 18‑25, with a high‑school certificate (minimum 70%).
• IELTS 5 or equivalent and completed national military service (no exemptions).
