Director, Family Groups and Conglomerates (UAE Nationals)

About the role

First Abu Dhabi Bank is looking for a Director for its Family Groups and Conglomerates segment, open to UAE nationals. The role manages and grows large account portfolios and client relationships, supervises day-to-day activities and client interactions, and ensures revenue targets are met while keeping client satisfaction and portfolio credit quality high. It requires strong internal and external collaboration, including meetings across time zones and tight deadlines.

Key responsibilities

• Take part in financial analysis of clients and their industries/markets to spot opportunities and risks
• Originate new business across banking products and prepare term sheets, information memoranda and mandate letters
• Review and negotiate deals, resolving credit, market and operational risks with product and enablement units
• Maintain acceptable credit quality, achieve financial performance targets and develop cross-selling opportunities
• Prepare and maintain account plans and client files, and submit credit reviews on time
• Follow up on KYC and compliance requirements in line with the Bank's KYC and AML policies
• Assist the Executive Director / Line Manager with administrative and transactional tasks such as client calls, payment processing, documentation follow-up, account openings and pipeline updates
• Prepare timely statements and reports, and attend on and off-the-job training

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Management, Engineering or a related discipline; MBA or MSc in business administration or finance preferred
• 8-10 years of experience in investment or corporate banking
• Ability to work under pressure, analyse and research information, and adapt quickly to changing priorities
