Director - Gaming Special Events

About the role

Wynn Al Marjan Island is seeking a Director – Gaming Special Events to lead the development and execution of its gaming‑related marketing and event programmes. Reporting to senior leadership, the role will shape the resort’s gaming experience for domestic and international guests, driving visitation, loyalty and incremental revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the annual gaming marketing and events strategy, including player development initiatives, major tournaments, themed events and VIP experiences.
• Lead the Gaming Event Specialists team to design, budget and deliver seamless events, coordinating with F&B, hotel, security and finance departments.
• Collaborate with Gaming Hosts and VIP Services to create targeted marketing programmes, manage CRM data and oversee telemarketing campaigns.
• Ensure all promotions and events comply with gaming regulations, AML/CTF, data protection and responsible gaming policies.
• Prepare and manage the department’s annual budget, monitor spend, forecast ROI and negotiate vendor contracts.
• Mentor and develop the event team, fostering a high‑performance culture.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in gaming or hospitality event management, with a proven track record of delivering large‑scale tournaments and VIP programmes.
• Strong strategic planning and commercial acumen, capable of setting ROI targets and measuring performance.
• Deep understanding of gaming regulations, compliance and responsible gambling standards.
• Excellent leadership and people‑development skills.
