Director, Internal Audit - EMEA

About the role

Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts is looking for a Director, Internal Audit to join its Corporate Office team in either Dubai or London. The role reports to the Senior Director, Internal Audit and covers hotel internal audits, fraud investigations and internal control and fraud data analytics projects.

Key responsibilities

• Hotel audits: plan audits, perform detailed testing, write reports at the end of engagements, flag exposure items and control weaknesses to leadership, lead or assist in improving internal audit programmes, support the field on operational and control issues, coordinate with external auditors and feed audit results into quarterly board reporting.
• Fraud investigations: work with stakeholders to develop analytics and periodic detection scripts, gather evidence of fraudulent or unethical activity, recommend internal control improvements, track and report cases and carry out data mining.

Required profile

• Leadership experience in finance and audit, a university degree in Business, Accounting or Finance, and ideally CPA, CIA and CFE qualifications.
• Demonstrated knowledge of financial reporting, risk assessment at corporate and property levels, and thorough knowledge of financial matters including IFRS and GAAP.
• Ability to travel and work across different cultures and geographies.

• Strong written skills, especially documenting controls and policies.
• Project management, negotiation and relationship-building skills, and the ability to work independently with limited supervision.
