Director, Loan Portfolio Management

About the role

The Director owns a defined loan portfolio and is accountable for both portfolio optimisation and the ongoing management of the existing loan book. The role requires independent judgement, hands‑on execution and escalation of complex or sensitive matters where appropriate.

Key responsibilities

• Portfolio ownership and optimisation.
• Management of the existing loan book, including balance‑sheet, risk, credit and stakeholder oversight.
• Oversight of waivers, amendments, covenants, annual reviews and credit monitoring.
• Execution of portfolio transformation initiatives, system enhancements and strategic projects.

Required profile

• 12+ years of relevant banking experience, with at least 5 years in corporate loan markets and portfolio‑management responsibilities.
• Proven track record of executing portfolio actions and managing deteriorating or problem credits.
• Strong understanding of loan structures, credit risk, capital usage and portfolio trade‑offs.
• P&L responsibility and ability to present clear, well‑reasoned recommendations to senior stakeholders.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of loan structuring and credit risk analysis.
• Fluent English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
