Director Marketing Services

About the role

The Director Marketing Services will lead Mastercard's in‑house media capability, starting with pilot regions and scaling globally. This senior position oversees strategy, operating model, commercial controls and governance across media planning, buying and optimisation.

Key responsibilities

• Own the overall media capability strategy, operating model and performance, defining pilot objectives, scope and success measures.
• Set delivery standards, procedures and ways of working for planning, buying, activation, optimisation, measurement and reporting, creating a repeatable blueprint for future hubs.
• Manage media budget and commercial oversight, including transparent DSP fee structures, commission models and trading‑desk terms.
• Act as senior point of contact for executive leadership, finance, legal, risk and procurement, chairing governance forums and presenting performance and savings.
• Build and lead the pilot in‑house team, defining capability expectations and scaling the permanent core team across regions.

Required profile

• 10+ years in media planning, buying and performance media, with senior leadership of an in‑house team or agency account.
• Proven experience building or scaling an in‑house media function and managing significant media budgets.
• Experience across multi‑market or regional remit, ideally Europe and EEMEA.
• Strong commercial acumen and partner governance skills.
