Director of Architecture

About the role

The Director of Architecture will lead master‑planning and urban‑design initiatives from concept through delivery, shaping mixed‑use, residential, hospitality and township projects. Reporting to senior leadership, the role oversees multidisciplinary teams, ensures design excellence, sustainability and compliance, and acts as the primary liaison with clients and stakeholders across the UAE.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage end‑to‑end master‑planning and urban‑design projects, from initial concept to final handover.
• Develop comprehensive master plans for mixed‑use, residential, hospitality and township developments.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams and maintain clear communication with clients, consultants and regulatory bodies.
• Ensure design quality, sustainability standards and regulatory compliance throughout project lifecycle.
• Oversee design coordination, review, and approval processes to meet project timelines and budgets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or Urban Design.
• Minimum 16 years of experience in master planning and urban design.
• Proven track record delivering large‑scale mixed‑use, residential, hospitality and township projects in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah.
• Experience working with leading consultants or developers in the UAE.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management and design coordination capabilities.
