Director of Commercial Strategy

About the role

The Director of Commercial Strategy will join the Sales and Marketing team at Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental in Abu Dhabi. Reporting to the General Manager, this senior leader is responsible for driving the hotel’s commercial performance and aligning marketing initiatives with financial targets. The role focuses on national and international key accounts and the overall commercial strategy of the property.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the hotel meets its financial objectives and revenue targets.
• Lead the sales team to achieve segment‑specific revenue goals.
• Develop, plan, coordinate and implement marketing activities in line with the approved marketing plan.
• Materialise budgeted revenues from existing clientele and key prospects across national and international markets.
• Act as a Talent Development Ambassador by supporting training initiatives, identifying talent, facilitating cross‑departmental exposure and leading recruitment for the department.
• Maintain and grow relationships with key accounts, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and repeat business.

Required profile

• Proven experience in commercial strategy, sales leadership or revenue management, preferably within the luxury hospitality sector.
• Strong track record of achieving financial and revenue targets.
• Ability to develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans.
• Leadership mindset with a focus on talent development and team performance.
• Growth‑oriented attitude, integrity, and respect for collaborative teamwork.
