Director of Forensic Audit (UAE National)

About the role

We are seeking a senior professional to lead our forensic audit function within du, the leading telecommunications provider in the UAE. The role involves overseeing special investigations, ensuring compliance with internal controls, and advising senior management on corrective actions. The successful candidate will work closely with the Audit Committee and internal control teams to protect the organization’s assets and reputation.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct special investigations and forensic audits based on referrals from the Audit Committee, internal control, whistle‑blowing channel or management.
• Prioritise audits according to risk rating and urgency, and present performance reports to the Head of Internal Control.
• Lead and coordinate the audit team to deliver assignments efficiently and ensure implementation of recommended actions.
• Prepare detailed forensic audit reports and executive presentations, and monitor compliance with internal control policies.
• Address issues raised through whistle‑blowing channels and continuously improve the function’s efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related discipline; professional certifications such as CPA, CA, ACCA or CIA are preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of accounting and auditing experience, including at least 8 years for UAE nationals.
• Prior experience in a large telecommunications environment with knowledge of regional and international best practices.
• Strong analytical, written and verbal communication, interpersonal and relationship‑building abilities.
• Fluent English and good computer skills.
