Director of Human Resources for Luxury Hotel Restoration

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Director of Human Resources to lead the people strategy at Jumeirah Burj Al Arab during its landmark restoration and reopening.

Key responsibilities

• Define and lead the people strategy, aligning culture, capability and organisational ambition with the restoration project.
• Partner with the Managing Director and Corporate HR to execute an ambitious resourcing agenda, attract world‑class talent and build a distinguished leadership team.
• Elevate the HR function into a trusted centre of expertise, providing intuitive support throughout the transformation.
• Coach leaders to foster a renewed culture of excellence, deepen colleague engagement and embed personalised service standards.
• Design a future‑ready organisation through workforce planning, agile structures, succession planning and national talent development.
• Ensure an inclusive, high‑performing workplace with strong employee relations, governance, budget management and legislative compliance.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years progressive HR experience, including at least 5 years in senior leadership within luxury hospitality.
• Proven track record of leading HR for a pre‑opening or landmark hotel reopening, with success in large‑scale recruitment and operational readiness.
• Strong commercial acumen, strategic influence and ability to advise senior leadership and coach stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration or related field; a master’s degree in HR Management is preferred.
