Director of Learning and Development

About the role

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Director of Learning and Development to lead the training function of our hotel. In this senior position you will shape a service‑oriented culture, design high‑impact learning programs and support the growth of all colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Assess current and future training and development needs for the hotel and develop an Annual Learning and Development Plan with budget.
• Design, deliver and evaluate professional quality training programs and workshops based on operational requirements.
• Conduct colleague development needs analysis and provide internal consulting and off‑job training sessions.
• Measure and monitor guest feedback, translating insights into training initiatives.
• Select, train and mentor departmental trainers through ongoing workshops and monthly meetings.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of managerial experience in a professional training environment.
• Strong knowledge of instructional methods, needs analysis, learning theory and training evaluation.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency with standard computer applications.
