Director of Operations – Luxury Hotel

About the role

The hotel is a five‑star luxury property in Dubai seeking a hands‑on Director of Operations to lead all operational areas. You will partner with the General Manager and executive team to drive guest satisfaction, financial performance, and service excellence across a high‑volume environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for Rooms, Front Office, Housekeeping, Guest Services, Food & Beverage, Spa and Recreation.
• Maintain and exceed Forbes Travel Guide and LQA standards.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, labor planning, cost control and revenue optimisation.
• Coach and mentor department heads, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
• Oversee compliance with brand standards, safety regulations and quality protocols.
• Lead operational projects, service‑enhancement programmes and transformation initiatives.

Required profile

• 10‑15 years of progressive luxury hospitality experience, including senior operational leadership.
• Proven success managing large‑scale, high‑volume luxury hotels or resorts.
• Deep knowledge of Forbes Travel Guide standards and LQA audits.
• Strong commercial acumen with a record of improving profitability and guest satisfaction.
• Experience with hotel openings, repositioning or operational transformations is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration or related field preferred.
