Steward – Full Time

About the role

The Steward is responsible for operating and maintaining cleaning equipment, ensuring kitchen and store areas are sanitary, and supporting food and beverage operations at our Yas Island location.

Key responsibilities

• Operate dishwashing machines, hand‑wash stations, pot‑scrubbing stations and trash compactors.
• Wash, disinfect and sanitize kitchen tools, knives, equipment and storage areas using detergents and sanitizing chemicals.
• Receive deliveries, store perishables correctly, rotate stock and ensure clean wares are stored appropriately.
• Inspect, pull, stack and re‑wash items as needed; break down dirty bus tubs and manage trash and recycling.
• Clean and mop assigned department areas, dispose of glass and cardboard in proper containers.
• Follow all company safety, security and quality policies, reporting hazards or incidents to management.

Required profile

• No high school diploma or prior experience required; on‑the‑job training provided.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb, stand or walk for extended periods, and perform bending, twisting and stooping.
• Commitment to follow safety procedures, maintain a clean work environment and communicate professionally.

Required skills

• Operation of commercial dishwashing machines.
• Use of a 3‑compartment sink for sanitizing dishes.
• Handling of cleaning chemicals and sanitizers.
• Operation of trash compactors and pot‑scrubbing stations.
