Director of Product Technology, Platforms

About the role

Inception42 seeks a Director of Product Technology to lead the evolution and productisation of its shared agentic‑AI platform. Reporting to the Senior Director of Product Technology, you will bridge product ambition with engineering execution, turning advanced AI capabilities into secure, reliable, and scalable experiences for enterprise and government customers.

Key responsibilities

• Define technical direction and execution roadmap for the agentic‑AI platform, shaping architecture across runtime, orchestration, governance, APIs, identity, multi‑tenancy, security and sovereign deployment.
• Partner with Product, Design, Data & AI, Platform and Security teams to turn models, agents and prototypes into evaluated, usable, observable and supportable platform capabilities.
• Lead enterprise integration strategy, ensuring interoperability with strategic ecosystems such as Microsoft.
• Establish strong engineering practices for development, release and production, including automated evaluation, observability, rollback and clear operational ownership.
• Continuously improve reliability, scalability, performance, security and AI economics across enterprise, sovereign, hybrid and customer‑controlled deployments.

Required profile

• Senior product‑engineering leadership experience building complex enterprise platforms, developer products or multi‑tenant SaaS.
• Hands‑on credibility in architecture, system design, code review and complex production diagnosis.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, APIs, identity, security, multi‑tenancy, reliability and observability.
• Proven track record shipping AI‑powered products, with practical knowledge of agents, RAG, evaluation, grounding, safety, latency and cost.
• Ability to guide products from early discovery through launch, production operation and scale, and to communicate clearly with engineers, researchers, executives and partners.

Required skills

• AI and machine‑learning concepts, including agents, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) and model evaluation.
• Distributed systems design and multi‑tenant SaaS architecture.
• API design, identity management and security best practices.
• Observability, reliability engineering and production operations.
• Experience with AI economics, latency optimisation and cost governance.
