Director of Renewable Energy

About the role

We are seeking a strategic, commercially‑focused Director of Renewable Energy to lead the development and growth of our renewable energy portfolio in Abu Dhabi. The role will shape the company’s clean‑energy strategy, drive project pipelines and build key partnerships to achieve long‑term sustainability goals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the company’s renewable energy strategy aligned with business objectives and sustainability targets.
• Identify, evaluate, and lead the development of renewable projects across technologies such as solar, wind, storage and emerging solutions.
• Oversee the full project lifecycle from feasibility studies and site selection through construction, commissioning and operations.
• Lead negotiations for PPAs, EPC contracts, joint ventures, land agreements and other commercial arrangements.
• Monitor market trends, regulatory changes and incentives to inform investment decisions.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in renewable energy, clean‑energy or power generation, preferably as a Director or Head of Renewable Energy.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen with experience in project finance, investment analysis, budgeting and business case development.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, stakeholder relationships and multi‑disciplinary teams.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and strategic decision‑making skills.
