Director of Sales

About the role

Octave is looking for a Director of Sales to lead the sales effort for its mission‑critical software solutions. The role focuses on identifying new opportunities, driving solution‑based selling, and building strong relationships with enterprise customers across defined geographies and industry segments.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and qualify net‑new sales opportunities and develop intelligent pursuit plans for Octave’s solutions.
• Lead and coach a team of sales representatives, setting targets, monitoring performance, and driving quota achievement.
• Maintain and expand relationships with senior executives at customer organizations, presenting product capabilities and business value.
• Represent Octave with professionalism and integrity in client meetings, events, and industry forums.
• Utilise Octave’s corporate CRM system diligently to track activities and pipeline.
• Develop strategic sales plans, motivate the sales team, and ensure alignment with regional leadership.
• Support talent acquisition by referencing potential candidates within the territory.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing sales teams and delivering solution‑based sales in complex enterprise accounts.
• Strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
• Ability to coach, develop, and retain high‑performing sales talent.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, especially with senior executives.
• Target‑driven, vigilant, and capable of strategic planning.

Required skills
