Director of Sales – Pre-Opening Luxury Hotel

About the role

We are seeking a visionary Director of Sales to lead the commercial launch of a new luxury hotel in Dubai. You will shape the sales strategy from the pre‑opening phase through full operation, working closely with the General Manager and Executive Committee to position the brand and drive sustainable revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the sales strategy for the pre‑opening phase and ongoing operations, aligned with brand positioning and business objectives.
• Lead all Sales & Marketing activities across Luxury Leisure, Corporate, MICE, High‑End and Strategic Accounts.
• Define market positioning, build strategic partnerships locally, regionally and internationally.
• Drive revenue growth while strengthening the Gran Meliá luxury brand presence in Dubai.
• Collaborate closely with the GM, Head of Marketing and Executive Committee to ensure alignment of commercial initiatives.
• Recruit, coach and manage a high‑performing sales team.

Required profile

• Proven experience in luxury hospitality sales, preferably with pre‑opening projects.
• Strategic commercial leader with a track record of delivering revenue growth.
• Strong relationship‑building skills and ability to forge meaningful partnerships.
• Passionate about creating high‑performing teams and driving brand excellence.
